As a Reminder, Do Not Bring WWII Artillery Shells On The Train

Passengers on the Eurostar rail line were stranded in Paris Monday night through Tuesday morning when a passenger attempted to bring an artillery shell relic from World War II onboard one of the trains.Website Insert Perfect Answer copy

According to the Daily Mail, the male passenger was en route to London arrived at the checkpoint in the Gare du Nord station when customs officials found the artillery shell, but the man never declared the item.

After the shell was discovered in the passenger’s luggage, the train station was evacuated and hundreds of customers were forced out of the building. The final two rail trips for the day were canceled due to the evacuation, which stranded many passengers overnight at the station.
