CSX outlines plans for new North Carolina terminal

Several local officials and people from across the Twin Counties came out to the Imperial Centre for the Arts and Sciences on Tuesday to learn about the latest developments happening with CSX’s $270 million state-of-the-art Carolina Connector intermodal hub.

Community members got to talk to different CSX representatives to find about the terminal design, development timeline, types of jobs at CSX, permitting process and proposed roadway improvements. Laura Phelps, manager of media relations at CSX, said a big reason for the open house is making sure CSX is being transparent with the ongoing process of the terminal.
