Oklahoma: A back-to-the-future solution to complex problems

A month ago, the state’s lone passenger rail service, the Heartland Flyer, appeared in jeopardy. So, too, were dreams of linking Oklahoma and Texas to Amtrak’s Chicago-Los Angeles line and creating new downtown-to-downtown service between Oklahoma City and Tulsa.

The immediate problem, of course, was money.
