VIA Rail Canada knows how to keep its stainless steel fleet updated

VIA Rail Canada operates an extensive fleet of mid-century Budd-built stainless steel passenger cars, which, under the tender guidance of VIA just keep getting better and better with overhauls and refurbishments. Since 2007, the Canadian federal government has invested nearly a billion dollars in upgrades and improvements to VIA Rail Canada’s fleet, infrastructure, stations, and other areas of the company.
