VIRGINIA BEACH – City Council members have decided to support a grassroots effort to allow voters to weigh in on whether to extend light rail from Norfolk to Town Center.Website Insert Cars and Financing copy

Last week, five council members proposed their own ballot question, separate from City Treasurer John Atkinson’s push for an advisory light-rail referendum.

“Whichever question it is, I am ready for it,” Wilson said. “I am supporting a referendum.”
