Wisconsin hires Laughlin Constable to market Milwaukee-Chicago train service

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation has hired Laughlin Constable to develop a marketing campaign to increase ridership on Amtrak’s Hiawatha service between Milwaukee and Chicago. From October through December last year, Laughlin staged a campaign spotlighting late evening train service on Saturdays. Saturday ridership rose slightly compared with the same period in 2014, the agency said.

Amtrak runs seven trains a day between Milwaukee and Chicago Monday through Saturday, and six on Sunday. Nearly 800,000 passengers rode the Hiawatha trains last year, ranking it among Amtrak’s top 10 routes nationally.
