Passengers on commuter rail trains are allowed to bring their licensed firearms along for the ride, according to the MBTA.Website Insert Development Finance and Management copy

On Thursday afternoon, a passenger reached out to the commuter rail’s official Twitter handle to ask what the MBTA’s policy is on firearms, saying that she often sees a rider carrying one on her commute and feels “incredibly uncomfortable.”
